This senior role involves maintaining the security, integrity, and availability of our telecommunications services, supporting around 14,000 users across 120+ sites. You'll be part of a busy, customer-focused environment, working on a broad and complex operational ICT infrastructure, with a significant emphasis on security and Wi-Fi.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support Cisco ASA firewalls and Firepower services.
- Function effectively in a challenging environment to provide comprehensive network, security (firewalls), and Wi-Fi support.
- Maintain and develop network infrastructure with a focus on security, reliability, and usability.
- Develop and implement industry standards and best practices for Wi-Fi security.
- Manage and maintain SLA terms and conditions for ICT Network Services.
- Communicate effectively regarding workload, SLA adherence, and problem resolution.
- Introduce new systems, tools, and services with strong project management skills.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Provide support as part of an on-call escalation rota outside standard working hours when necessary.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced security knowledge and experience supporting enterprise data center firewall infrastructure.
- In-depth knowledge of routing, switching, and Cisco ASA Firewalls with Firepower.
- Thorough understanding of IT and communications, including TCP/IP, DHCP/IPAM, DNS, proxy servers, web browsers, databases, and external gateways.
- Advanced technical knowledge of network topology, data network support, and VOIP systems.
- Understanding of ITIL and its application across the service lifecycle.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in technical ICT Networks Design, Implementation, and Support in a complex corporate environment.
- Experience with Cisco/Aerohive Wi-Fi systems in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency with Windows OS, Cisco IOS at enterprise level, and tools such as Cisco Prime, Cisco DNA, Cisco ISE, Cisco SDA.
- Experience using major call management/helpdesk applications.
- Project management experience in ICT projects.
- Proven ability to work under pressure while meeting operational and project targets.
