About the Role

As the Lead Software Developer in Test you will be integral to ensuring the quality and reliability of platforms and systems. You’ll focus on designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks while driving innovation and efficiency across the QA team. Collaboration with stakeholders and product teams will be at the heart of your role, as you identify and implement opportunities for test automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks for existing systems and applications.
• Design and integrate CI/CD processes to enhance automation workflows.
• Create, execute, and maintain performance tests for internal systems.
• Offer mentorship and guidance to software developers, fostering best practices.
• Lead initiatives to improve automation within the QA team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify automation strategies and opportunities.
• Work closely with engineering teams to optimise test environments and datasets.
• Support developers in embedding automation techniques into their workflows.

Key Experience:

• Have proven experience in automation engineering.
• Demonstrate proficiency in JavaScript.
• Are skilled in planning and building automated testing frameworks for collaborative teams.
• Have experience with UI and API automation frameworks, particularly Cypress.
• Are familiar with tools such as Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Possess knowledge of CI/CD processes, version control systems, and pipeline tools like GitLab.
• Have hands-on experience with performance testing tools like K6-Grafana.
• Are adept at test management and reporting platforms, such as Xray.
• Are skilled in analysing logs, metrics, and traces, with knowledge of tools like DataDog being advantageous.
• Have familiarity with project management and defect tracking tools, such as JIRA.
• Experience with Appium is a bonus!
