Job Spec:
They are seeking a skilled BI Developer to drive innovation and efficiency through data-driven decision-making. As a BI Developer, you will be instrumental in developing cutting-edge BI solutions, reports, visualisations, and dashboards that empower the organisation to make informed decisions.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Design and implement Data Modelling BI and Data Warehousing solutions.
- Develop BI solutions including reports, visualisations, dashboards, and key metrics using Power BI and SQL.
- Collaborate with end users to understand business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
- Ensure database integrity, security, and optimised performance at both application and database levels. Identify and resolve data quality and reconciliation issues to maintain data integrity.
- Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders to clarify reporting procedures and resolve data discrepancies.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation to support program development and updates.
Main Skills:
- 2+ years of relevant BI solutions development and support experience.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills (not essential):
- Experience with reporting, data analytics, and visualisation tools such as Tableau, MS Power BI, Business Objects, or Cognos.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
- Demonstrated SQL skills with extensive experience in stored procedures, views, functions, triggers and advanced logical methods
