AI Engineer

Southern Lights are working with a well funded, fast paced, and fast growing organisation whose technologies and software help build dynamic software defined solutions.

They are at the forefront of the digital transformation within their sector and are now seeking a highly motivated AI Engineer to join their team and help them accelerate software innovations for their next generation software solutions.

Main Duties:

• Lead the leverage of their existing AI models and frameworks to solve business problems across all domains.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand requirements & translate them into AI solutions.
• Fine tune and optimise existing AI models for specific use-cases and applications.
• Experiment with various AI models, libraries & techniques to find the best approach for solving specific problems.
• Use AI techniques such as Deep Learning, Machine Learning.
• Work closely with Data Scientists & Software developers to integrate AI solutions into existing systems & workflows.
• Continuously monitor & evaluate the performance of deployed AI models & make necessary improvements.
• Document & communicate technical designs, processes & best practices.

Main Skills:

• Strong development skills in languages - Python, Java, or C++.
• Proven experience of Machine Learning algorithms, Deep Learning frameworks & other AI technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud & containerisation technologies - Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with feature engineering, data preprocessing & model evaluation techniques.
• Proficiency in software development best practices, version control systems & agile methodologies.
• Superb problem solving skills & ability to think critically & analytically.
• Strong communication skills & ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
