UX/Creative Graphic Designer, Somerset, paying up to £35,000 with full benefits

My client is looking for a UX/Creative Graphic Designer to work in a rewarding and fun environment. As a UX/Creative Graphic Designer, you will work closely with the Software Development Manager, Business Analyst and the wider IT Team in delivering successful Design, Front End and User Experience services and projects. You will also play a key role in providing support to company brand/design and marketing capabilities.

Technical Competencies:

  • Graphic Design - visual, creative work, using tooling such as Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design and other creative tools
  • User Interaction Design/UX - implementing User Centred/Atomic Design techniques to ensure that user interfaces are simple, intuitive and easy to use.
  • Task Management - managing your own workload to ensure deadlines are met and you are delivering the most out of your time
  • Relationship Management - working with external agencies on combined/collaborative projects, and ensuring we use them appropriately and realise best value for money.

Knowledge:

  • You will have an active interest in technology.
  • Makes recommendations regarding both systems and software design.
  • Keeps up to date with the latest trends and technologies.
  • Understanding of User Centred Design techniques.
  • Knowledge of graphic design principles.

Skills and Experience:

  • A portfolio of digital design work
  • Experience of graphic design work, including print/web.
  • Experience of web front end development work.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in a similar role; developing and supporting visual/creative/design work in a larger development operation.
  • Makes recommendations regarding both systems and software design.
  • Keeps up to date with the latest trends and technologies.
